Testler

Career Counselling

Most students reach a crossroads, not because they lack ambition, but because no one has helped them connect who they are with where they could go. Testler’s career counselling changes that.

We work with students from Grade 8 onwards, helping them build clarity about their strengths, interests, and goals – and translate that clarity into a concrete plan for courses, universities, and careers. This is not a one-session exercise. It is an ongoing mentorship that stays with a student from early exploration all the way through admission, visa, and pre-departure.

Who This Is For

Grade 8–9 Students

Starting early gives students the most options. We help younger students explore career interests, gain exposure to a wide range of academic disciplines and career pathways, and make informed subject choices. By understanding what different fields involve before committing to a specialization, students are better equipped to make confident decisions about their future while building profiles that matter by the time applications begin.

Grade 10–12 Students

For students at critical decision points – choosing streams, boards, and universities. We provide structured guidance to turn broad aspirations into a clear, actionable admissions roadmap.

Graduates & Young Professionals

Graduation often brings multiple possibilities and difficult choices. Whether students are considering employment, higher education, a career transition, or studying abroad, we help them evaluate their strengths, interests, and opportunities. Our counselling provides clarity, direction, and a practical roadmap for the next stage of their academic or professional journey.

Students & Parents Together

Career decisions affect the whole family. Testler counselling is designed to keep both students and parents aligned, informed, and confident at every stage of the journey.

How the Counselling Process Works

Testler career counselling follows a structured process but it is never rigid. Every student’s journey is personalised from the first session.

Stage

Phase

What Happens

01

Introductory Session

An in-depth conversation – online or offline – where your counsellor gets to know the student. Strengths, interests, academic background, achievements, family context, and career aspirations are all explored. No forms to fill. No assumptions made.

02

Aptitude Assessment

Students complete a structured aptitude assessment that identifies natural abilities, learning styles, and career alignment. This is not a personality quiz – it is a diagnostic tool that gives counsellors a factual basis for recommendations.

03

Career Mapping

Based on the session and assessment, your counsellor maps potential career pathways and connects them to real courses, universities, and destinations. Preferred countries, admission timelines, and competitive requirements are factored in.

04

Personalised Roadmap

The student receives a written, personalised roadmap covering career options, recommended courses and universities, testing requirements, application timelines, and immediate next steps. Parents receive a clear overview of the plan and the rationale behind it.

05

Ongoing Mentorship

Counselling does not end with the roadmap. Your Testler counsellor stays involved through regular check-ins, milestone reviews, and progress tracking – adapting the plan as the student grows and as university requirements evolve.

What Your Counsellor Supports You Through

Testler career counselling is an end-to-end engagement. Depending on your stage and goals, your counsellor can support you across:

-Career exploration and pathway identification

-Subject and stream selection (Grade 8–10)

-Board and curriculum guidance – IB, IGCSE, A-Level, CBSE

-University shortlisting and destination planning

-Test preparation planning – SAT, ACT, IELTS, LNAT, and more

-Profile building and extracurricular strategy

-Personal statement and SOP guidance

-Letter of Recommendation (LOR) strategy

-University application management

-Interview preparation

-Visa assistance and pre-departure planning

Not every student needs all of this and not all at once. Your counsellor builds a support structure around your specific timeline and goals, not a template.-

Why Starting in Grade 8-9 Makes a Difference

The students who gain admission to the world’s most competitive universities are rarely the ones who started preparing in Grade 12. They are the ones who made deliberate choices years earlier – choosing the right subjects, building the right profile, and arriving at application season with a clear story to tell.

When Testler begins working with a student in Grade 8-9, we have time to shape that story. Subject choices can be optimised for target university requirements. Profile building activities can be selected with purpose. Test preparation can be planned without panic. And by the time applications open, the student is ready – not rushing.

Starting late does not disqualify you. Testler works with students at every stage. But the earlier we begin, the more we can do.
